The art world and
its unlimited boundaries have been apart of my life for as long as I can
remember. As an art teacher I strive to motivate, and inspire my students to
expand their vision of the world. I as an artist I thrive on challenge and
personal connection.
The beauty of
Whitman County has been my home for 21 years and the Oakesdale School
District has been a second home for the past eight. My certification, a
Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts, was received at Washington State University.
My Masters of Arts in Teaching, at the University of Idaho.
The Oakesdale Art
curriculum, K-12 is a process that sets the mind in motion. It is a program
derived from the reality that to think in a creative manner is a vital
component to the continuation of invention and progress both individually and
globally. The uniqueness of this art experience allows students an
opportunity to explore, challenge and expand their critical thinking skills.
It is a pleasure to
be a part of this staff and to be close to my two daughters who attend this
school, my oldest is now a student at Eastern Washington University. My
husband recently retired from farming and works in investments. We are
privileged to be apart of this community and look forward to the future and
the beauty of each season as the years unfold.
