I have been teaching in the Oakesdale School District
since September of 1976. I am a 1965 graduate of Lacrosse High School and a 1970
graduate of Eastern Washington State College where I received a degree in
Industrial Arts with an emphasis in Construction.
I married Marilyn Jackson in December of 1969 and was
commissioned into the United States Army as a 2nd Lieutenant in March of
1970. After two years in the service of my country, (which included a short
tour of duty in Viet Nam), I returned to EWU to complete my requirements for
a teaching degree.
My first teaching job was in Cascade Locks, Oregon. After
two years, my family and I (which now included Jeff and Marisa) moved to
Kahlotus where I taught for two years until accepting a teaching and coaching
position here at Oakesdale.
Obviously, my family and I have loved it here. This has
been a great place to not only teach and coach, but a very special place to
raise our family. As of the Fall of 2006, I am teaching part time Ð high
school and junior high shop classes.
