I grew up and went to high school in Hoquiam, WA. I then went to Grays Harbor Junior College for two years and on to Central Washington University where I received my BA in Education. I completed my fifth year at Eastern Washington University after I had already started teaching here in Oakesdale, which I continued to do for ten years. I have lived in Oakesdale since 1971. My wife and I raised two boys both of whom attended school here.

I came back to work for the school district in 1996, after working elsewhere for 15 years. My responsibilities are making sure that everything up here on the hill continues to work properly and doesn't interrupt the education process. I also see to it that our facilities stay clean and presentable with the help of other personnel. During the growing season, I maintain the outside grounds of our school including the football and baseball fields.

I enjoy working here at school with the staff and students. I think that it is important that everyone works together to take care of our school and maintain the pride that we have enjoyed for so many years.
