Growing up in Ritzville I was a small town boy who loved Shakespeare,
historical novels and sports. Not too surprising I ended up teaching English
and history and coaching volleyball here in Oakesdale.
I received my Bachelor and MasterÕs degrees from
Whitworth College.
I also have a degree from Inland Empire School of the
Bible.
After two years of volunteering in the volleyball
program, I began teaching and coaching in Oakesdale in 1986. Time has flown
while I was having fun. After many years in the volleyball wars, I hung up my
coaching shoes with many great memories.
After living in Oakesdale for eight years. I have been
living in Tekoa for the last fourteen. I am active in the Tekoa Community
Church.
I have always had a love of literature and a sense that it
can help us
understand this complicated, beautiful world we live in.
Writing can be a
wonderful creative outlet that helps us become ourselves.
In my teaching
I strive to share a joy of learning and sense of wonder
that can be a
guiding principle for the students as they leave here and
begin their odysseys.
