Dear
Parents and Guardians of Oakesdale Students:
We
are finally ready to use the technology available to us as a communication tool
between school and home. The basic
features of our parent access feature allows you to be constantly Òin the knowÓ
about how your child is performing in school, allowing you to always be aware
of their grades.
Every
parent/guardian of every student has access to the Skyward system. Available to parents/guardians is the
following information:
á
Grades K-12 attendance
information
á
Grades 5-12 grade
book/report card information
To
receive your log in information, please call Penny at 285-5296. Penny will provide you with a system
generated login ID and password.
There is a separate log in and password for each parent/guardian of each
child.
To
log into the Skyward system, please visit the school website at www.oakesdale.wednet.edu and click
the link that says Skyward Parent Access.
Once you click on that link, follow these steps:
1. In the LOG IN box, enter your system generated login
provided by Penny
2. In the PASSWORD box, enter your system generated
password provided by Penny
3. Click the BLUE login box
You
will now be at a My Account Information box where you will see your name as the
parent/guardian, along with your address, phone number, etc. To the right of that box you have three
choices, Change My Log In, Change My Password, and Change My Email. These
options allow you to change your information from the system generated
information provided by Penny, to your own, that you make up. To make the changes, click on those
boxes, one at a time, and follow the instructions on your screen.
Navigation
of the site is relatively simple.
The menu items are on the left so you can choose what information about
your student you would like to view.
If you have more than one child, click on the arrow next to your childÕs
name and a drop down menu will appear and you can choose which child you would
like to view.
If
you need assistance with this, please contact Penny at the school. Hopefully this is of value and helps
you to be more informed.
Sincerely,
Jake
Dingman

of Oakesdale School District
