What is the Haas Foundation?

Saul HaasÕ Vision: to help promising young people at critical times in their lives. To do that which otherwise would not be timely done.

The basic purpose of the Haas School Fund is to provide ÒtimelyÓ assistance to individual students who have established needs that must be resolved in order to realize their full potential in school.  When Saul Haas used the word ÒtimelyÓ, his intent was to quickly and quietly take care of the studentÕs need without the usual red tape delays.  An established need refers to the inability or the unwillingness of the studentÕs family to meet the cost of the service being provided to the student.   Full potential makes reference not only to the studentÕs motivation to stay in school, but also to reaching a reasonable level of classroom achievement and self-realization.

Why should we care about it?

The Oakesdale School District has received grant monies from the Haas Foundation and we are looking for your assistance to help us identify secondary students in the Oakesdale School who would benefit from the distribution of these monies.
